God, Where Are You?

Okay, let’s be real. Sometimes it can feel as though God is silent. Like He’s abandoned us and left us high and dry — to fend for ourselves. We all have seasons of wilderness — where we feel lost and alone and as though there’s no way out. Seasons of silence from God aren’t meant to hurt us or cause us anguish. Instead, they are meant to strengthen, not weaken, our faith. Every single day Read more…

Remembering the WHY

Y’all have read all my rants about the messiness of eating disorders, you’ve heard me complain about the hardest parts of my journey, and y’all have learned about some of the many lessons I’m learning along the way. But I don’t believe I’ve ever really shared my reasons WHY with you all.. WHY I chose to fight. WHY I chose to seek professional help after 2 years of giving myself to this disease. WHY I Read more…

Finding Hope in the Dark

Really, any family/friend gathering typically involves at least some type of food or snack. Am I right, or am I right??? This can Read more…

Things Change

Change can be so scary. It can be risky. It can be difficult. I have such a “type A” personality. I like to be organized, I like to have everything planned out, I like having a sense of control over my life. I am very ambitious and goal-oriented. I absolutely hate not knowing what comes next (probably why I am not a fan of scary movies). Recently, my plans have been changed. Decisions that I Read more…

The Journey Begins

Trigger warning– I am about to share a a very personal battle that I have been secretly facing. Before I dive in, I just want to say that I am not starting this blog and sharing my story for sympathy or anything of the sort. I am sharing in hopes to give insight to outsiders as well as show others who may be facing the same thing or something similar that they’re not alone and Read more…
